Terms of Service
The simple terms for using TheWeddingDay. Last updated July 2026.
The service
TheWeddingDay lets you build a wedding website, invite your guests, and collect their RSVPs. You can build your site for free. It goes live once your fee is settled and we publish it for you.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email you, so keep your email account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Your content and your guests
You are responsible for the content you add to your site and for having permission to add the details of your guests for the purpose of your wedding. Please keep it lawful and respectful.
If you list a gift registry, honeymoon fund or charity, you provide your own links or payment details, and any money goes directly to you or the charity. TheWeddingDay never collects or holds those contributions.
Payment
Pricing is shown on our site. At the moment we invoice you directly once your site is ready to go live, and publish it once payment is arranged. Extras like a custom domain are optional and priced separately.
Sending invites
Invites are sent from your own WhatsApp or email. You choose who to contact and when. Please only message people who are happy to hear from you about your wedding.
Availability
We work hard to keep the service running, but we provide it as is and cannot promise it will never be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us.
Taking a site down
You can ask us to take your site down at any time. We may suspend a site that breaks these terms or the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
